Subject to availability--if the original artwork has already been sold or is unavailable, you will be unable to place the order for it.

QlownTown original artwork comes on smooth, 100-lb. Bristol paper, and is drawn with black gel pens. QlownTown is scanned into the computer and altered/cleaned up with PhotoShop, so original art may differ from the finished version. Changes may have been made with corrective white paint or tape. Different sections of paper may have been added to the original drawing to change its size or shape. Lettering is done in the computer and will be different. Sunday strips do not include the "QlownTown" header panel as original artwork, as that is not re-drawn every week; however, a reprint of that top row will be included.

We will include a small color reprint of the finished strip. If you wish to frame a full-sized reprint with the original artwork, simply order a reprint of the strip separately.

We do not offer the original work framed because there are so many ways one might choose to frame it. You may decide to frame the original with a full-size reprint, with the small reprint that comes with it, or by itself. Some early strips were drawn to appear as either a strip or a panel, so you'll have to decide how much of that type to frame.

We will send a copy of the original artwork after you've placed your order and before we send it to you. If you decide you don't want it, we will credit the cost back to your card.

If a sale falls through in this manner, the original art may become available again, so you might want to check back several days later if the original artwork you wanted showed up as "sold" on your first try.

You may also e-mail us first (dsmith-weiss@qlowntown.com, with the Subject: "Original art" and the date of the cartoon) and request an emailed copy of the original, but we can't hold the piece if someone else orders it first while you're waiting.
